Both options are risky. Leaving Akane alone, or taking the chance that she'll find out we messed with her head later on. We have to decide which one will give us the biggest reward.
Provided that she hasn't changed elements, Akane should still have an air ability. She may have changed it from Now You See Me—the one you have to worry about most is probably Strike While It's Hot, as it'll be difficult to protect you from that.

We could do an item check as early as possible to see if she has it on her, but then you'd have to confiscate everyone's weapons. Otherwise, she's under no obligation to give it up.
