[She’s wandering around the gateway, avoiding traps and trying to get a feel for the place as a whole, when she sees Akane. She’s been wanting to speak to her about something, and as such, she speaks as she moves in her direction.]

Hey there. Do you have a second?

[specialdog]

[ Akane is just exploring the area... Very, very slowly because she doesn't want to get caught in a trap... But stops to wait for Emma! ]

Sure. What is it?

[foodbin]

I was a little bit curious about the first aid kit, if you’re okay with talking about it.

[specialdog]

[ Akane tilts her head to the side. ]

I don't mind talking about it, but I don't know if I'll have a lot to tell you...? It was Nana's.

[foodbin]

[She nods, but:]

You were with her when she got it, right? Can I ask where it came from?

[specialdog]

Sure. We got it from the escape room we all went through.

[foodbin]

...It would be really helpful if you could tell me as much as you remember about the room, if you don’t mind.

[specialdog]

If you think it'll be useful...

[ She definitely does not think it will be... But... ]

Let's see... The first room was like a waiting room...? And the lights were off, and there was an alarm to turn off. And then after we got the lights on, we got separated into different areas, and the darkness came back, so I didn't really get a great look around...

There was a fish tank?

[ ...... Helpful, Akane. ]

[She gives a nod, thinking all of that over.]

What happened when the darkness came back? Did you get rid of it somehow? Did the room just go black, or did it take another form?

[specialdog]

It...

[ Hm, her body language changes a little, at that. She looks uncomfortable, and her words get more hesitant. ]

It switched out vision. We were still controlling ourselves, but looking out each other's eyes. The darkness made a wall to keep us apart, and then it had hands to reach out and cover our eyes, and the temperature got really hot, too.

[foodbin]

That sounds... awful. I'm sorry.

[But she continues after a moment, even if her voice grows more gentle.]

How did you get out?

[specialdog]

Mm.

[ Not very responsive to the sympathy, but oh well. Sorry she's kind of a dick. ]

Solving the puzzles seemed to drive out the corruption.

[foodbin]

And - I know Nana got the first aid kit, obviously. Did you get anything when you left?

week three, sunday.

[foodbin]

[When Emma comes across Akane outside of the houses, she stalls slightly before heading her way, raising her hand in greeting.]

Hey, Akane, you got a second?

[specialdog]

[ As per usual, Akane is sitting around playing on her phone. She looks up at Emma and smiles easily, waving back. ]

Sure. What's up?

[foodbin]

Lune gave me a task to do, and I was wondering if you'd give me a hand. It shouldn't be too hard - I just have to make a hot drink for a few people I don't know too well.

[specialdog]

[ Oh, so she just wants to use Akane for her own gain!

... Just kidding! Akane nods. ]

Sure. Like, hot chocolate or something?

[foodbin]

[She nods.]

That'd work, but it's up to you what you'd like best.

[specialdog]

Maybe tea would be better... We'll see what they have around the kitchen.

Do you want to go now?

[foodbin]

As long as you don't have anywhere more important to be.

[specialdog]

[ She shakes her head, pocketing her cell phone, then stands up and dusts off her skirt. ]

Not at all.

[ ... So! ] What do you get for it? One of those fancy lie detector scrolls?

[foodbin]

[She shakes her head.]

Don't tell her, but... I'm trying to get Lili her eye back.

[specialdog]

Ehhh, so you can do favors for things like that?

That's pretty cool.

[foodbin]

[She nods as they head towards the kitchen.]

That's how I got my hand back.

[specialdog]

Too bad the real world isn't so easy! When things are wrong like that, you can't just go ask a god to trade favors.
