After reading these texts, I think our theory that Junna was poisoned through Toxicity was wrong. Her red eyes may have been a result of [a pause as he tries to remember how it's spelled] petechial hemorrhaging, which more likely indicates asphyxiation by strangulation.
There weren't any marks on her neck, but I don't know whether that was just ill luck for us or if she was strangled in a way that would never leave signs.
A method of strangulation that wouldn't leave a mark...? Do you have any ideas of how someone would do that? Because even something thin like a small rope or a string would leave some bruising or a cut, wouldn't it?
[She pauses.]
...If I can ask, if there anyone you particularly suspect now? If there is, and we know that Lune will exchange information in return for something - I can try to find out more. Maybe he'll be more willing to give out information if it's not just one person asking.
I'm not too sure. If they did it with their hands, then it's not guaranteed to leave a visible mark, I think... but it's something humans would know better than me. [what's bruising when your kind normally just like. heals instantly.] Still, it's possible they knocked Junna on the head to disorient her, which means that they didn't necessarily need to choke her with great force if she couldn't fight back well.
[he shakes his head.]
No. Of the people I know to be aligned with water besides you, one I don't think did it and the other is Feral, who was practicing with ice openly this week. But I have no particular reason to suspect him yet.
Would suffocating her in another way have caused the redness in her eyes, or do you think it was definitely strangulation?
[She nods.]
Then I'll try to find more information on people who have that alignment. But, taking water out of the equation - is there anyone you'd find suspicious then?
According to the texts, it'd be something externally blocking one's airways. The specific reason is increased pressure on the veins in the head due to such blockage, which then causes ruptures in the eyes. Of course, that's assuming it was petechial hemorrhaging at all. I could be wrong.
No. Lune suggested examining what would be one's motivation for killing Junna, but I don't know anyone well enough to guess, especially as I didn't know Junna very well either.
he smiles wryly, before he puts his tablet down and holds up one hand. it doesn't take long before a small ball of water forms. hm, wonder why he didn't take the initiative to volunteer his element!!]
Either way. I'll head your way again after I talk to Lune. Is there anything else you think I should know before I go, or anything I should keep in mind when asking him questions?
I can't think of anything. In any case, it might help to approach with him a fresh perspective, rather than a rehash of mine. You might come up with better questions than me.

[he nods.]
That's good to know, though.

[Oh, and—]
Just in case... Would you be able to show me your power, too?

he was expecting the question, but...]
Normally, I would, since you showed yours.
However, I already did so earlier today for my partner. So, it depends on whether you're willing to take my or Miki's word for it.

I am. You should still be able to show me what element you can use, right?

[Hm.]
Could I take a look at it tomorrow? Whatever your power is.

The same as yours, coincidentally.
