There's these small islands that I know of. They have these large star-shaped fruit that grow on them, and legend says that if you share them with someone, your destinies are for intertwined.

Yes. Things like magic isn't uncommon.
[ so being here isn't that large of a culture shock ]
So something like a magical fruit that ties your fate isn't too out there.
